The School of Biology at Georgia Tech has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in Biology.  I contribute to these programs by teaching core courses in Genetics and Evolution.


Genetics
Genetics focuses on understanding heredity and variation in biological systems.  Genetics has a fundamental role in the study of life and in human affairs.

Bioethics
Bioethics examines the process of science and the ethical implications of biological research.  Bioethics plays an increasingly important role in our understanding of the importance and effects of biology in society.

Evolutionary Genetics
Evolutionary genetics is a field of biology that integrates genetics into our understanding of biological evolution.  Advances in biotechnology have greatly increased our comprehension of how genetics impacts evolution.

Conservation Genetics
Conservation genetics is concerned with understanding how genetics influences conservation biology.  It is now widely appreciated that the genetic constitution of populations fundamentally affects their ability to live long and prosper.
